Mr. Mattson is a private investor focused on investments in middle market industrial and service businesses.
Mr. Mattson retired after a twenty year career in investment banking in August 2012. He was a partner and co-head of the Global Industrials Group in Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs & Co. from 2002 to 2012, and served in a variety of other positions from 1994 to 2002. He was an Associate at Credit Suisse First Boston from 1993 to 1994, and he held various sales and marketing positions at IBM Corporation from 1987 to 1993.
Mr. Mattson serves on the board of directors of Delta Airlines, where he chairs the Finance Committee, and is a Senior Advisor to Comvest Partners and Star Mountain Capital. He is also Chair-elect of the Board of Visitors of the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University.
Mr. Mattson earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Duke University in 1987 and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in 1993.
