Robert is the Global Head of Manulife | Comvest Credit Partners (formerly Comvest Credit Partners), where he leads the firm’s investment strategy, portfolio management, and capital formation initiatives. He also serves on the investment committees for the platform’s credit vehicles. Today the platform manages over US$19.5 billion1 of assets under management.
In addition to his role at Manulife | Comvest Credit Partners, Robert is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Commonwealth Credit Partners BDC I, Inc. and Comvest Senior Lending Fund “C-VEST”, private business development companies focused on directly originated loans to middle-market businesses.
With more than 30 years of experience, Robert is a seasoned leader in private credit, structured finance, and operational leadership. Prior to his current role, he served as Chief Executive Officer, Managing Partner, and Co-Founder of Comvest Credit Partners the direct lending arm of Comvest Partners, a prominent middle-market private equity and credit investment firm.
Earlier in his career, Robert served as CEO and President of Commonwealth Associates, Comvest’s predecessor entity. Under his leadership, the firm raised and invested more than $1 billion in equity to support the growth acquisition and restructuring of over 100 lower-middle-market companies across the technology, healthcare and service sectors.
Robert holds a B.A. in Geography from the University of London having studied at King’s College London and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
