Executive Partner

Thomas A. Andruskevich is currently the Chairman and CEO of TAA Consulting, LLC and an Operating Partner for Jewelry and Timepieces at Marvin Traub Associates. As an Independent Business Advisor and Board Director, he provides strategic, luxury goods, retail and wholesale distribution, brand development and repositioning consulting services through TAA Consulting,    LLC and Marvin Traub Associates. Mr. Andruskevich also works with Private Equity Firms to identify prospective investment opportunities and assists with the development of portfolio companies.

Until July, 2013, he was non-Executive Vice-Chairman of Birks & Mayors Inc., formerly Henry Birks & Sons, Canada’s 136 year old premier luxury jewelry brand, and Chairman of Mayors Jewelers, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Birks & Mayors Inc., since it was acquired in 2002. Mr. Andruskevich served as the President & CEO of Birks & Mayors Inc. from 1996 until March 2012.

During his sixteen years as CEO at Birks & Mayors, he orchestrated a merger of Mayors, the 105 year-old southeastern U.S. premier luxury jeweler, and Birks in 2002 as well as the successful IPO of Birks & Mayors in 2007. Since his arrival in 1996, he repositioned and rebuilt Birks, and later Mayors, into two of the leading luxury jewelry brands in North America. He was also responsible for leading the successful financial turnarounds of both Birks and Mayors.

Andruskevich came to Birks from Mondi of America, where he was President and CEO, following a distinguished career at Tiffany & Co. His tenure at Tiffany spanned 12 years from 1982 to 1994, culminating with his appointment as Executive Vice-President, International & Trade in March 1992. While at Tiffany, he spearheaded the highly successful management buyout from Avon Products, Inc. in 1984 and subsequent IPO in 1987. Prior to Tiffany, he held various management positions at Avon Products Inc. from 1978 to 1982. He began his career as an auditor with Hurdman and Cranstoun, Certified Public Accountants, in 1973.

He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Robbins Bros. Jewelry Acquisition Holdings, LLC., and served as a Director of VEREIT, Inc. until September 29, 2015. During his board term at VEREIT, Inc. he served in a variety of capacities including Lead Independent Director, Chairman of the CEO Search Committee and Chairman of the Compensation, Corporate Governance and Nominating Committees.

Mr. Andruskevich also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Cole Real Estate Investments, Inc. from 2008 to 2014, Birks & Mayors Inc. and Mayors Jewelers, Inc., Jewelers for Children from 2010 to July, 2013 and Jewelers of America from 2009 to July, 2012 where he served as Treasurer and chaired the Audit Committee and CEO Search Committee during his board tenure.

He has also served as president of the U.S. Jewelers Vigilance Committee between 1990 and 1992 and has been a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Andruskevich has also served on the Board of Directors of various trade organizations and charitable causes. His humanitarian work evolved when he joined the Board of Trustees of the National Commission Against Drunk Driving and Cancer Care, Inc. where he served on the Board of Trustees for 15 years. He has received numerous awards for his humanitarian and volunteer efforts with charities and the jewelry industry as well as leadership awards from the U.S. jewelry industry, the Canadian retail industry, community organizations and business associations.

A Pennsylvania native, Andruskevich earned a B.S. in Business and Economics from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa., in 1973 and became a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York in 1980.
